Looking to hit the waves but need the right gear? At Westward Waves, we’ve got you covered with a top-quality selection of hire equipment, carefully chosen to help you make the most of your time in the sea. Our kit is tried, tested, and approved by our expert instructors, so you can rent with confidence. Not sure what you need? We’re happy to help with advice on sizing, board selection, and the best equipment for the conditions.
We keep some gear down on the beach for easy access, while our full range is available at our campsite, Livit Adventures in Abbotsham. Need to transport your equipment? We have soft racks available, making it simple to get your kit to the beach.
Surfboards & Bodyboards
We have a range of Tiki Grizzly soft top boards. These boards are a hybrid board which means that they are great for most abilities! For those of you looking to advance onto a hardboard, we also have a select range to hire from shortboards, minimals and longboards. Soft racks are available too if you are looking to hire for a longer period of time.

Wetsuits, boots & gloves
We have a selection of Tiki ADV and Surface wetsuits. Both of which our customers have raved about for the past 6 seasons! We have both 5/4 and 4/3 so we’ve covered all seasons in Devon!

Paddleboards
Waves too flat but the suns out and you want to make the most of the water? Borrow a paddle board from us! We have inflatable paddle boards and pumps to hire. They deflate to a really reasonable size and fit in any boot!
